Employer Accreditation for Hiring Migrants

Under New Zealand’s AEWV and residence-pathway schemes, accredited employers can lawfully recruit skilled migrants when genuine labour shortages exist.

Accreditation also covers hire under the Skilled Migrant Category, Work to Residence, Transport and Care Workforce pathways, and the Straight to Residence visa.

Accreditation types

Choose the category that fits your hiring plans:
  • Standard Accreditation
For businesses recruiting up to 5 migrants.

  • High-Volume Accreditation
For employers intending to hire 6 or more migrants.

  • Triangular Accreditation
For organisations placing migrants with third-party hosts (no limit on numbers).

Your business must hold a valid NZBN, IR number and BIC code, and meet Immigration New Zealand’s accreditation criteria.
