Skilled Nominated Visa

The Skilled Nominated Visa – Subclass 190 is a points-based application that is sponsored by a State and offers direct permanent residence.

To receive an additional 5 points, State/Territory nomination is required. While anyone can express their interest through Skill Select, only candidates with approved State/Territory nominations will be invited to apply.

Eligibility

To be eligible for this Australian visa, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Your occupation must be listed on the relevant skilled occupation list.
  • You need to have a suitable skills assessment for your occupation.
  • Obtain State nomination from the relevant State authority.
  • Receive an invitation to apply for the visa.
  • If invited, you must be under the age of 45.
  • Meet the points test requirement with a minimum score of 65 or higher.
  • Demonstrate competent English language skills at the time of invitation.
  • Fulfill the health and character requirements.

Requirements

You will need to provide the following as evidence to apply for the visa:

  • A copy of your passport’s biodata page.
  • Proof of relationship to family members included in the application (such as birth certificates for children or marriage certificate for your spouse).
  • Police clearances from any country where you have lived for 12 months or more within the last 10 years.
  • Evidence of your English language proficiency at the time of the invitation to apply.
  • Documentation confirming a positive skills assessment.
  • Proof of State nomination.
  • Verification of your qualifications.
  • Evidence of your employment history, including employment reference letters and payslips.
