The SESR visa is a temporary visa that allows individuals to work in specific regional areas. This visa provides a way to obtain permanent residency through the pathway to Subclass 191 visa. This visa is available to employees who have received job offers from established businesses located in designated regional areas.

  • Possess qualifications that are relevant to the role.
  • Demonstrate at least three years of full-time experience in the role after obtaining the necessary qualifications.
  • Demonstrate a genuine intention to work in the nominated position.

Business Sponsorship

To be eligible for sponsorship, the business should be:

  • Actively and lawfully operating either in Australia or overseas but with a need for the visa applicant to establish an Australian business or fulfil contractual obligations.
  • The initial step is to obtain business sponsorship approval by submitting an application that demonstrates the following:
    • The company is legally established and currently in operation.
    • There are no adverse records or information against the company.
  • Once approved, the company assumes several sponsorship obligations, such as bearing certain costs, ensuring the employee works only in their nominated occupations, and providing equivalent terms and conditions of employment as Australian workers.
